If you happen to be one of the unlucky women who have not magically lost their pregnancy weight in a few months or the tiny percentage who can just get back to looking like they were with seemingly no effort, don't be dismayed.
Fact is for many women this will be the hardest weight loss struggle to overcome.
Pregnancy weight can typically take the average woman 5-6 months to loose and get back to looking the way they did before. Unfortunately you don't have 5-6 months and maybe want to cut that time in half or sooner.
Statistically it is shown that after 6 months, women who do not lose their pregnancy weight will carry an average extra 20 lbs. of that weight well into the future.
Here are some things to consider when wanting to loose your pregnancy weight.
(1) Go easy! Do not be in a hurry to loose all your pregnancy weight too fast. This would mean forgetting about all the crash diets, fad diets, or latest oatmeal crunch baloney diet.
(2) Don't get fancy. Sticking to the basics of dieting and exercise will be sufficient, depending on how much dedication you put into it.
(3) Get healthy first. Allowing your body to get back to normal is very, very important before undertaking any major changes in diet and exercise.
(4) Vigorous exercises too soon can be damaging. While you can start exercises, they must be slower and build up over time. Initially you should exercise when you feel you are ready.
(5) Eat a balanced diet. Eating a balanced diet is a major step towards getting your body to recover quickly and naturally.
